Candy Cigarettes?

Looking back now, I can hardly believe that as children we could be candy cigarettes from the ice cream truck. Did they just not have any groups that would complain about children's causes then? Once upon a time there were also vending machines located right alongside the candy & soda machines that you could purchase your ciggies from.

My high school actually had a segregated "smoking section" during my freshman year. I believe that it was the following year before they got rid of it.

Children's Birthday Parties

We are going to brave the chilly weather and head our to our nephews 7th bithday party at Boomers. FUN.  My recollections of childhood parties were also fun.  But not as complicated as parties for children today. Our house. Food. Punch bowl. Cake. Candles. Some basic decor - balloons sometimes streamers. A handful of classmates. Our house.

Times were much simpler then.
